Wine Lovers:

What a Winter !    More Snow and cooler temps, but when I checked the vines last week they all look good.

Pruning season will be here soon and this notice to those who would like to learn the two different methods that we use at the vineyard , your welcome anytime to come out and take a lesson .    You can also check out our website and see the video that Mike made of me pruning in the vineyard.

Last years grapes are still at the winery (getting happy) and Randy is in the final stages of clearing, stabilizing and doing what other magic he and Darcy do to create some of the best grape wine in the state.   He is recognized by many to be one of the best winemakers in the state.   We are so fortunate that our winemakers are willing to share information and help others across the state.

For the first time in our history we will be offering a limited amount of wine that has been age for two years.   We will have limited supplies of Frontenac 16 and  Red Trail Red (blend of Marquette and Frontenac)  that have been in the cellar for two years,  smooth, with a little oak and black cherry, Dry.    These will be available only at the tasting room at the vineyard.    Our other varieties  Marquette, Frontenac Gris, Alpha Rose, Sangria, and Red Trail White will be available at the vineyard tasting room by Memorial Day.    We are also working with Happy Harry's to have some of our wines at their locations.

Our first Friday Nite Supper will be on THURSDAY, May 3, and we will start with a Flat Iron Steak Special for $9.95, and that Steak Special will continue throughout the summer on the 1st Friday of the Month.

Because it was a great time last year we will continue to have a Mother's Day and Father's Day Dinners (11am to 2pm)  Reservations only.

The Summer Schedule for the Friday Nite Supper will be coming out soon.   We plan to place an ad in the Cass County Reporter and the Valley City Times, and also on our website.

We are looking forward to our 16th year of growing grapes and look forward to seeing you at the Vineyard.
